The show was a great success!

The first day started bright and breezy and somewhat chilly. Perfect show weather really. Also perfect AGA weather!

We had a live 3 Oven Dual Control electric AGA working on the stand. This cooked bacon rolls for our breakfast, pies and toasted sandwiches for our lunch, delicious lemon drizzle cake for afternoon tea and gently simmered a chilli con carne for our dinner. All done in the middle tent, in a field in Yorkshire!

We also took the AGA City60 for the first time to the show. We chose the pale pink version and placed at the front of the stand it certainly caught the attention of show goers. There was a lot of interest generated although predictably not everyone wanted a pink one!

We had a super range of textiles suited for use on an AGA. Not only did we have AGA’s own range but also the very popular Sophie Allport hob hats and oven gloves in various attractive designs. This year dogs were ever popular but the blue designs of swallows and butterflies were also quite sought after. Plus a selection from the Tottering by Gently range. Namely the He and She make coffee hob hats!

Bev Madden of Mrs Madden Makes had done us an express order of some lovely personalised aprons in some lovely summery colours. These made super gifts and were soon snapped up.

We also had with us a varied selection of ceramics, pans and AGA essential cleaning products, all of which were popular. Meaning that by Thursday evening we didn’t have a lot of stock to pack up and bring home.

A big thank you to customers old and new that visited us at the show. Next stop Driffield Show on Wednesday 22nd July.
