AGA FAQ’s

1. CAN YOU POSITION THE AGA ANYWHERE IN THE KITCHEN?

A free home survey is the best way to determine a suitable position. There are now so many models, fuel and flue types, that there is likely to be one that will suit your kitchen. 

2. HOW LONG DO WE NEED TO ALLOW FOR THE DELIVERY OF A COOKER?

AGA cookers are handmade to order. We usually allow around six weeks from order date, however this is not an exact date and depending on the colour or model it may take longer. Please contact us before scheduling any fitting date in.

3. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN AGA AND A RAYBURN?

An AGA Cooker is a cast iron heat storage cooker. There are many types of AGA some of which are on all the time, some of which are switch on with off for more flexibility. Some of the traditional AGA’s still heat the domestic Hot water.

A Rayburn Cooker is also made by AGA and is a Cast iron Cooker that most often also does the Central Heating. Call us for a free site survey to see which model is most appropriate to your needs.

4. WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE ON AN AGA COOKER?

AGA cookers are guaranteed parts and labour for the first year plus another four years for parts. Rayburn cookers are guaranteed parts and labour for the first year and two more years for parts.

5. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RUN?

There are so many different models of AGA cookers now that it is difficult to quote an exact running cost. However if you call or email Daniel in Sales he can advise you on more specific running costs.

6. HOW GREEN IS MY AGA?

AGA cookers are made mainly from recycled materials will last a lifetime and reduce the need for many other household appliances. We send Old AGA’s back to the factory for further recycling. Furthermore your AGA can also do the job of your electric toaster, your tumble drier, your electric kettle, your iron and your heat source to your kitchen and living area.

7. CAN I TAKE MY AGA WITH ME?

Most of the new electric AGA’s are now moved in one piece so yes it is possible to take it with you. However for many in coming house purchasers the AGA adds value and is a plus point. You can always sell the AGA with the property allowing you to buy a new one for your next home!

Everhot FAQ’s

1. CAN YOU POSITION THE EVERHOT ANYWHERE IN THE KITCHEN?

A free home survey is the best way to determine a suitable position. There are many sizes of Everhot Cookers there is most likely to be a suitable model for you. There are no flue requirements for EVERHOT cookers,  but we  do need to make sure that we can get the cooker into position.

2. HOW LONG DO WE NEED TO ALLOW FOR THE DELIVERY OF A COOKER?

Your Everhot cooker is handmade to order. We usually allow eight  to ten weeks from date of order to installation. 

3. HOW MUCH DOES AN EVERHOT COST TO RUN?

When set at our recommended cooking temperatures a 2 oven EVERHOT will consume around 85 units of power per week.

The larger cookers will use a little more. Contact us for more information on which model you are considering.

4. WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE ON AN EVERHOT?

We offer a parts and labour warranty for 24 months following purchase – although our heating elements are covered for 5 years (parts and labour).

5. HOW GREEN IS AN EVERHOT COOKER?

EVERHOT have a commendable green reputation. The EVERHOT cooker was invented to utilise the renewable energy from a Mill race. They believe in local manufacturing using energy that is largely generated by themselves. They are a carbon negative company by a considerable margin.

6. CAN I TAKE MY EVERHOT COOKER WITH ME IF I MOVE?

Yes these cookers are designed to be able to move with you. However most customers find that these cookers add value to the property and the majority of incoming purchasers want the EVERHOT Cooker to stay in situ. You can alawys sell the Everhot Cooker with your house allowing you to purchase a new one at your next home!
