In-home Servicing & COVID-19 Notice:

Our Service and Installation department is running flat out in challenging conditions. It is crucial that we protect our workforce and our customers so we ask you to read our Covid notes before booking your service/Installation.

Given we are already over 400 services behind, thanks to the lockdown, please bear with us on appointment times. We are doing our best to accommodate everybody and being rude or abusive to our staff will not make it any easier for us to accommodate your wishes.

Prior to our Engineers Visit to service/install your cooker please read the following

In order to protect our engineers while they are out visiting customers and to protect you our customers from any risk of infection, we would ask you to adhere to these guidelines: 

  • For the time of your Service Appointment or Installation Date 
  • Please confirm you will contact us for a new Date if anyone in your household shows signs Corona Virus Symptoms. 
  • Please confirm your household is not isolating or in quarantine after returning from a trip abroad. 
  • Please wear a mask and observe 2 metre social distancing if you intend to be present in the kitchen when the engineer is working. It is a lot safer for both parties if you can leave the room altogether.
  • Please leave doors and windows open wherever possible to ensure free flow of fresh air.
  • Please wipe down with antibacterial solution all door handles and surfaces that the engineer will come into contact with. He will do the same when he finishes.
  • Please pay for your service by bank transfer or ring the office for a card payment whenever possible.
  • If it has to be a cheque or cash please pop it in a clean envelope.

Sorry to sound draconian, but I am sure you will agree it is in everybody’s best interest to keep all risks of spreading the Virus to an absolute minimum.

Range Cooker Service & Repair

We service and repair range cookers within about an hour of our base in Norton, Malton North Yorkshire (see adjacent map).

As with most domestic appliances, range cookers require routine servicing and maintenance to ensure they continue to operate safely and efficiently.

Here at Country Warmth we have over 100 years combined experience in servicing AGA and Rayburn cookers. All our engineers are Gas Safe and OFTEC registered and fully trained and updated at the AGA Factory in their purpose built training centre.

We are the only Authorised AGA distributor in this area, and we fit all genuine AGA parts. So you have complete peace of mind that your cooker is in safe hands.

AGA Servicing

To keep your AGA in tip top shape it will require servicing at the intervals below:

  • Oil AGA cookers should be serviced every 6 months.
  • Gas AGA cookers and dual control gas AGA cookers require a service every 12 months.
  • 30-amp electric models should be checked for electrical safety and operation every 12 months.
  • 13-amp electric models, including the AGA Total Control and the AGA Dual Control require a service every 2 ½ years.
  • eR3 Series, R7 and ER7 Cookers have no servicing requirement.
  • Solid fuel models require an annual service. It is recommended six-monthly sweeping of the connecting flue pipe and that the inner fire barrel is turn a quarter every quarter. The main chimney should be swept annually.

Please note that routine servicing in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions is also a condition of the warranty agreement.

Rayburn Servicing

To keep your Rayburn in tip top shape it will require servicing at the intervals below:

  • Oil  Rayburn cookers and central heating models should be serviced every 12 months. With the exception of the oil 308K which is every 6 months?
  • Gas Rayburn Cookers and central heating boilers should be serviced every 12 months.
  • Solid fuel models require an annual service. A six-monthly sweeping of the connecting flue pipe. The main chimney should be swept annually.

    Please note that routine servicing in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions is also a condition of the warranty agreement.
