Thermostatically controlled slow oven – with controllable low temperatures, this gentle way of cooking allows food to retain its natural goodness and flavour. Ideal for casseroles, stews and curries. Also great for warming plates.

Two large independent fan ovens with drop sown oven doors – both ovens are large enough to hold an 11kg (24lb) turkey and one of them is fully programmable. To save on cleaning time, the ovens have a specially developed lining which helps keep them clean during cooking. There is also a choice of five different runner heights for oven shelves, plus internal lights for ease of use. Each oven comes with four oven shelves and one large roasting tin as standard.

Rapid-response ceramic grill – gives virtually instant response and produces an even heat under the entire grill with no hot or cold spots. And it’s all under your complete control via the full-on and centre-only settings. Standard supplied accessories include one grill shelf, one twin-handled grill pan and one grill rack.

Choice of high speed ceramic, natural gas or LPG five-ring hob – the ceramic hotplate includes a single rapid ring for quick boiling, two semi-rapid rings for slower cooking, a dual ring for heating various sized pans and a powerful 2.0kW dual operation oval ring for very fast cooking or using a fish kettle.

The gas hob has a high heat, twin flame wok burner with a set simmer ideal for stir-fries or boiling pasta. There’s also one quick-response rapid burner and two semi-rapid burners for a slower simmer. A long central burner is also provided, which can be used to heat the lift-off Masterchef griddle for a healthy way of cooking meat, vegetables or fish.

Flame Failure Device – As the burners automatically ignite on a gas model, each one is fitted with a Flame Failure Device safety system that cuts the gas supply if the hobs are not lit.

Splashback – A stylish splashback for the hotplate is included as standard on all models.

Powerful cooker hood (optional extra) – designed to match the understated classic style of the AGA Masterchef, the cooker hood draws up cooking odours. It features a three-speed fan and light, both controlled by an elegant drop-down control panel. Plus, you have the choice of a recirculation model (charcoal filters) or a ducting system (extraction).

As you would expect from AGA, the Masterchef is a refined blend of advanced cooking features and proven craftsmanship.

Made in the UK and built to last – the Masterchef undergoes an extensive series of rigorous tests throughout the build process to ensure that durability, reliability and excellent performance are intrinsic to every single component.

Cutting edge in both design and technology, the Masterchef combines the prestige of the AGA brand with the latest advances in range cooker innovation. The state-of-the-art electronic technology is used throughout. The ceramic grill, for example, has been designed to offer almost instantaneous heat, with perfect heat distribution. On the gas hob models, the burners automatically ignite and each one is fitted with a Flame Failure Device safety feature and for the ceramic hob model, each element comes with a ‘hob hot’ indicator.

The cooking surfaces and fascia panel are protected with a durable coating of powder coated paint. The drop-down oven doors are solid cast aluminum with enamelled steel liners that close with a satisfying clunk.

The attractive fascia panel houses ergonomically designed knobs, an oven programmer, clock and minute minder.
