We would just like to say a big thank you to Helen and to Simon and all the Team at Peter Thompson for such a super coffee morning this week.

The showroom looked stunning. A comprehensive display of both the traditional woodwork that The Peter Thompson Company is famed for along with some cutting edge new designs that are sure to appeal to the new generation of customers.

Vicky was brewing coffee as fast as she could from the burr oak kitchen display, whilst Sarah and Joanne from Betty’s cake decorating and training department had taken over in the majestic painted kitchen display! With helpful demonstrations on how to ice fondant fancies and gingerbread men we were then let loose to create our own decorated biscuits. You will notice there are no photos of our attempt – Sara’s shortbread biscuit looked more like a goldfish than the hedgehog it was supposed to resemble!

Our lovely pewter coloured Dual control AGA sat proudly in one of the more contemporary displays and proved that an AGA of such iconic design can sit with ‘modern’ just as happily as with ‘traditional’.

We were given a tour of the updated showroom and we were especially impressed with the clean lines and simplicity of the cool painted kitchen display upstairs. This really is a classic contemporary design matched perfectly to the new generation of Peter Thompson customers coming through the door.

The morning was well supported by customers old and new. We even bumped into our friends from The Curtain Room in Easingwold, whose beautiful balloon lampshade we are coveting! Thank you again and we hope lots of funds were raised for this most deserving cause that is close to all our hearts.
